I’m originally from Baltimore, MD & I visited the take out spot on 8/28/2025 for the first time after googling soul food restaurants in the Columbia, SC area. After calling the restaurant to place my order over the phone and not receiving an answer. I ended up just driving to the restaurant and placing an order inside. The young lady was the only person there and what appeared to possibly be only one cook. Once I placed my order, I had to return about 20 minutes later to pick up the food I ordered. On the outside of the establishment it appeared to need a deep cleaning from bugs and other outside elements. I ordered the shrimp and grits, the seafood platter add fried shrimp, with sides as seafood Mac and cheese and yams. I also ordered the brisket baked potato. The shrimp and grits were delicious and even the grits were seasoned well. The brisket potato was delicious and the flounder and fried shrimp were pretty good. The seafood Mac & cheese didn’t have enough seafood to be called “seafood mac & cheese” in my opinion. The yams needed to be cooked longer to me because I prefer tender sweet potatoes. Overall, I’d definitely return to try other menu items.

This food was 100 out of 10 , I found them in TikTok. It didn’t disappoint. I ordered oxtails fries , my daughter ordered seafood spud . We also order fried fish , greens and THOSE EGG ROLLS !!!!!! I WILL DEFINITELY DRIVE 25 minutes again . They are priced very reasonable.

I was visiting South Carolina for my nephew's graduation and wanted some good soul food. My sister took us to Southern Crave and I must say the food was so good. This is the food from our 2nd day of eating there. The food was so good on Saturday that we all had lamb chops with a variety of sides mac & cheese, yams, collard greens, black eye peas. The lamb chops were seasoned to perfection and tender. The sides were so delicious, We had different sides as it was 3 of us. So we decided to go back on Sunday. I had the smoked oxtail with collard greens and Mac & cheese and my husband had the stir-fried salmon with rice and a side of seafood mac and cheese. I highly recommend this establishment if you are in the area. The customer service was top-notch, friendly, and courteous
